Eligibility
Ages Eligible for Study: 18 Years and above,
Genders Eligible for Study: Both
Inclusion Criteria
(what you must have in order to enter the trial):
Disease Characteristics
- You have Transitional Cell Carcinoma (TCC) of the bladder
- You have Carcinoma In Situ (CIS), with or without non-invasive
papillary disease (Ta or T1)
- The cancer cells express the EpCAM molecule (which
you will be tested for once you enter the study)
- You have received BCG therapy within the past 2 years
for this bladder cancer but the cancer persisted or came
back
Prior/Concurrent Therapy
- It has been at least 2 months since the last dose of
anti-cancer therapy (eg, chemotherapy, biological therapy,
or photodynamic therapy) or any investigational therapy.
Patient Characteristics
- No hydronephrosis
- No significant liver or kidney disease
Other
- Patients must not become pregnant while participating
in this trial
Exclusion Criteria
(reasons you will not be allowed to enter into the trial):
- You have muscle-invasive bladder cancer
- Your bladder cancer has spread outside of the bladder
- You have a severe urinary tract infection
- You can not tolerate intravesical administration
